Youth Class: Perfect Pie Crust

Service Description

Pie-making starts with the crust! In this hands-on youth cooking class, participants ages 8 and up will learn the secrets to making a tender, flaky pie crust completely from scratch. We'll practice mixing and working with pie dough, learn tips and tricks for handling it without overworking it, and get plenty of guidance as we roll out our crusts and create a beautiful finished edge. We'll also demonstrate fun decorative techniques, including a classic lattice top. To finish the class, everyone will blind bake their own crust and fill it with a delicious pumpkin cream pie filling—a perfect fall treat to take home and enjoy!
